Open Thread – Ring In 2009! edition

During the Wring In 2009! tele-workshop, participants were invited to get in touch with their deepest values and then create specific visions of a life lived according to those values.

Again, there was limited time for sharing, so I invite you all to share here….

Were there any values that surprised you?  In what ways will that change your actions in the coming year?

I’d love to see your visions and intentions too…particularly your new commitments to Service and Contribution and Mindful Living.  What makes your heart sing?

If you didn’t participate, I invite you to share anyway.  And it isn’t too late to listen to the recorded calls online – you can register to do so HERE.

May you enjoy being mindful!

Several things came up for me during this class 🙂 Im looking forward to processing my notes….
Im inspired to look at unconscious beliefs that I hold , that are blocking me from realizing my vision…

For example , the notion of “excellent self care” I think I hold a buried belief that I do not deserve this….. Im happy to start shedding life on this one, and several other beliefs that are not serving me well…

Thank you Brook and everyone who participated in the class. Im excited about using this blog to create a community and looking forward to the next call….

Congratulations, Brook, on two outstanding tele-workshops, Wringing Out 2008 and Ringing In 2009. Both Rich and I enjoyed the webcasts, and I was really inspired by the online experience of Ringing In 2009. Everyone’s input was interesting and helpful. This is a great forum, and I look forward to future workshops.

Congratulations, also, on the publication of your first book! I am so proud of you (can I say that?)! Indeed, we wish you blessings in abundance.

    You Go, Girl!

Thanks for posting a comment about beliefs, Doris. Bringing mindfulness to beliefs is so powerful, especially when we know how to work with them in a positive and transformative way. The first step is awareness. This will be a good topic for the monthly Mindful Life Community Conversations.

Thanks Deb! I’m assuming that you are getting into the vision of 2009 and congratulating me for writing my first book sometime this year, even though that isn’t my intention! Maybe you know something I don’t! We’ll see how it all unfolds with surprises and blessings galore!

    Brrrrrook,

It’s cold and snowy where I am, but beautiful. Yes, I misunderstood your _example_ during the webcast to be your intention. OR, maybe I was projecting, since indeed, writing/publishing my first book is MY intention for 2009.

…I just have to write that poem for you, yet. As soon as the muse comes, you shall be memorialized:+)

The + is for my broken nose:-( 🙂

    Blessings,
    Deb

That is so exciting, Deb! This is the year for your first book. I look forward to hearing more as you connect with your muse. I’m starting a new category on the blog – Creativity & Play – where we’ll share ideas about tapping into creativity and bringing play back into life. All wild ideas and silliness welcome!
